Partypoker lost many users

Filed under: Breaking Poker News — admin @ 4:29 am

I have no absolute numbers but since all the players from the United States had to leave the number of players who play my kind of tournaments dwindled. I used to play $22 shootout tournaments with hundreds of players and about $10000 in cash of total money for the tournament. The last round would award the winner between $600 and $800. Yesterday I played the $22 shootout again only about 150 players joined for a total sum of $3000 something.

The winner of the last round would get about $150 which is only a fourth or even a fifth of what was awarded before the US-Players left Partypoker. But this is not the reason alone why the games see less participants. Party Poker decided to move the $22 shootout from 22:00 to 24:00 CET which is really bad for all European players. If you have to work the other day you can’t be playing Poker up until 4 or 5 in the morning.

Poker Variant : 4-card Poker

Filed under: Poker Rules and Games — admin @ 5:11 pm

Four-Cards Poker is a relatively fresh variation of the poker game. It is played using the normal 52 deck of cards and has really simple strategies. Even if it is named “Four Card Poker, players are actually given five cards (faced down) but they will only be making use of four best cards on hand. The dealer meanwhile has six cards, where he can take four of his best cards. The dealer has one of his best cards facing up.

On the table are three circles marked as Ante, 1x – 3x Ante and Aces Up, where bets are placed. Betting on a four cards poker game can be in two’s: on an ante and on an aces-up. Play starts as soon as players place their bets on any of the three circles. Once players have decided, the dealer will then ask for a show of hands.
